Painting Oil on Canvas by Artist Ken JenningsThe original oil was gifted to the Sir Reginald Ansett Transport Museum, Hamilton, Victoria in 2006 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the first flight of Ansett Airways from Hamilton to Melbourne. The painting depicts the scene at Hamilton Aerodrome on February 17, 1936 with the six passengers gathered ready to board for the first flight.
